Department of Information Technology is an Information &
Communication Technology (ICT) education and training Organisation, which delivers
quality IT training in Sri Lanka. The institution has three main departments
for Computer Training, Software Development and Computer Hardware and Network
Maintenance. It is affiliated with the Chartered institute of Information Technology
(CIIT), UK (earlier known as the British Computer Society), Australian Computer
Society, the University of Cambridge, UK – Local Examination Syndicate,
IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS) Washington DC, USA and the Education for Knowledge
Society Project of the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka leading students up
to diploma, advanced diploma and eventually to a degree in IT and Computing.
