Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care (CHC50113)
Follow your dream and study to become an early childhood educator, centre director or a kindergarten educator. As Australia’s population continues to grow, this is a career that is in demand. The Australian Government predicts Australia will need an additional 43,000 early childhood teachers by 2023 to cater for the projected number of preschool age children. When you complete the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with Chisholm, you’ll have a nationally recognised qualification highly regarded by employers in this sector. You’ll be able to work at a senior level in a variety of children’s services, including designing and developing curriculum and supervision of staff.
You will be enrolling into the CINEC Diploma of Early Years Education and Certificate of Early Years Education. Upon completion, you will become eligible to receive recognition of prior learning (RPL) from Chisholm Institute and articulate to a fast-tracked Chisholm Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care program. You have to undertake 12-weeks of industry placement in Melbourne, and study two modules at Chisholm’s campus in Melbourne, to graduate from the program. Once graduate, students have the option of pathway to Federation University and receive direct credit into a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or Bachelor of Education (Primary).
