Diploma of Engineering Technology 22478VIC

Engineering Technology program has two specialisations: mechanical and fabrication. This program is designed to qualify graduates for employment opportunities at a paraprofessional level in a range of engineering, manufacturing and related industrial roles.

Mechanical specialisation:

When you complete the Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical Trade) and Diploma of Engineering Technology, you’ll have the knowledge required to work in the metals and engineering industry. During the course, you’ll learn about mechanical and thermal cutting, marking out, tool making, general machining, maintenance and workplace safety.

Fabrication specialisation:

When you complete the Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication Trade) and Diploma of Engineering Technology, you’ll have the skills required to work in the metals and engineering industry. During this course, you’ll learn about mechanical and thermal cutting, marking out, welding principles, fabrication, forming and shaping techniques, general machining, computing and computer-aided drafting, and workplace safety.

Certification: Issued by Chisholm Institute, Melbourne, Australia; RTO 0260

Regulatory authority: Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA)
