As Chancellor of CINEC I am pleased to deliver this message for the publication of the new CINEC website.

CINEC has been exemplary as a leading light in the field of maritime higher education in this region and is now expanding into related fields. Further to its redefined aims and objectives CINEC has widened its academic portfolio to embrace several disciplines reflecting new strides in academic and professional advancement.

This new website is designed to attract the younger genre of aspiring students and cadets who wish to excel in the maritime and associated professions. CINEC is poised to deliver its programmes to meet contemporary demands in higher education in Sri Lanka as well as entry into the cadre of cadets for training and induction into the seafaring professions.

I am confident that the new website will serve the envisaged strategic plan of CINEC and I give my approval to it unhesitatingly.
