Crisis Management and Human Behavior

This course covers the mandatory requirements for the issue of a certificate for Crisis Management and Human Behavior as set out in Regulation V/2, Para 6, Section A-V/2, Para 3, Table A-V/2, of the STCW 1978 as amended.
On successful completion of this course, the participants will acquire the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency and be able perform their relevant duties on board in relation to shipboard emergency procedures, optimal uses of shipboard resources, controlling shipboard response to an emergency, control of passengers during an emergency and effective communications during an emergency.

Course Intake Limitations

Maximum 20 students per course.

Faculty

All training and instructions will be delivered by properly qualified lecturers who have the qualifications specified in MSN 25/2016 issued by the Director General of Merchant Shipping, Merchant Shipping Secretariat, Sri Lanka.

  • Support-level seafarers with sea service of at least one year
