B.Sc. Honours in Cosmetic Sciences
This degree is designed as the basic intellectual tool which graduates use to understand and practice proper development and treatments of cosmetic in Sri Lanka and other countries. This area is directed to developing, providing and maintaining infrastructure, and services from cosmetic industry to the community. This will develop an awareness of the social and commercial context of the designing, production and marketing of cosmetics. This includes an understanding of the constraints imposed by health and safety, the environment, codes of practice, the law and financial viability and of the means by which the various risks may be assessed and managed.

Entry Requirements
Three (3) simple passes (S) in Chemistry or Science for Technology and any two of the following subjects: Biology, Physics, Agricultural Science, Bio systems, Technology, Engineering Technology, Agro Technology,, Bio resource technology and Food technology in the same sitting at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination conducted by the department of examinations of Sri Lanka or equivalent qualification.
