CINEC Campus Hosts Distinguished IATA Delegation to Strengthen Collaborative Efforts in Aviation Training
On October 21st, 2024, CINEC Campus had the distinct honor of welcoming an esteemed delegation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The delegation, led by Mr. Phil Gennaoui, IATA Regional Head of Sales, included Mr. Buddhika Hewawasam, Head of IATA in Sri Lanka, and Ms. Neha, IATA Training Manager for South Asia.
The visit marked a significant milestone for CINEC as the delegation observed the progress of our ongoing partnership with IATA and evaluated our initiatives to enhance the quality and scope of aviation training. This occasion provided a valuable opportunity to present our advancements in aviation education and to engage in meaningful discussions about future collaborative possibilities with IATA.
During their visit, the delegates toured our facilities and experienced a presentation on our ship simulator, which was led by retired Navy Commander and Senior Consultant at CINEC, Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe. This hands-on experience offered insights into our training capabilities and showcased our dedication to providing cutting-edge, experiential learning for aviation professionals.
The presence of IATA’s leadership on our campus reinforces the impact of our programs and strengthens our position for continued collaboration with IATA. This visit reflects our commitment to maintaining high standards in aviation education, aligning with global industry requirements, and contributing meaningfully to the aviation sector.
