HND in Nursing Batch 01 – Capping Ceremony

The Faculty of Health Sciences at CINEC Campus proudly hosted its inaugural Nursing Capping Ceremony on 27th March 2025, marking a significant milestone for the first batch of the Higher National Diploma in Nursing. This ceremonial event celebrated the transition of student nurses into the clinical phase of their education, symbolized by the traditional capping. The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests from both academic and clinical spheres of nursing. The Chief Guest, Prof. S. S. P. Warnakulasuriya, Professor and Dean, Faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo, and the Guest of Honour, Prof. Thamara Amarasekara, Senior Lecturer and Professor, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, inspired students with their wisdom and experience. Their presence added prestige to the occasion, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, compassion, and dedication in the nursing profession.
