Unveiling a World-Class Academic Collaboration: CINEC Campus Partners with Anglia Ruskin University, UK

CINEC Campus, Sri Lanka, proudly announces a landmark franchised academic partnership with Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), UK, signalling a significant leap in transnational higher education. This collaboration brings together two prestigious institutions united by a shared vision of academic excellence and global quality standards.

ARU established in the year 1858 and named Times Higher Education University of the Year 2023, holds an impressive 5-star QS rating in teaching, employability, global engagement, and facilities. Additionally, its TEF Gold award for teaching excellence reflects the university’s strong global reputation.

Reinforcing its international standing, CINEC has been a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) since 2017 and is listed in the World Higher Education Database (WHED) as a recognised member of the International Association of Universities (IAU).

Through this new partnership, CINEC will deliver ARU-franchised UK qualifications in Engineering, Computing, and Health Sciences, offering Sri Lankan students access to globally recognised undergraduate and postgraduate education. These programmes will be conducted at CINEC’s state-of-the-art facilities, supported by its academic expertise and infrastructure.

The formal exchange of this landmark partnership agreement took place on 07th August, 2025, between Dr Mark Norrish, Pro Vice Chancellor for International and Partnerships at Anglia Ruskin University and Captain Ajith Peiris, CEO/President of CINEC Campus. The event was graced by His Excellency, the British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Sri Lanka, and industry professionals of marking this academically robust business development initiative as a significant milestone in international higher education collaboration.
