His Excellency Mr Jörn Rohde, Ambassador of Germany to Sri Lanka Visits CINEC Campus

His Excellency Mr. Jörn Rohde – Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Sri Lanka and Deshamanya Harry Jayawardena Chairman Aitkens Spence, visited CINEC Campus Malabe on Wednesday 26th June 2019. The Ambassador was accompanied by Dr. Karsten Feuerriegel, Senior Advisor at GIZ, Vocational Training in the North and East of Sri Lanka and Mr. Andreas Hergenröther, Delegate of German Industry and Commerce to Sri Lanka.

The guests received a warm Welcome from Captain Ajith Peiris, Chairman/President of CINEC, Dr. Parakrama Dissanayake, the Co-Chairman CINEC /Deputy Chairman & Managing Director of Aitken Spence PLC, Ms. Nilanthi Sivapragasam, Joint Managing Director CINEC /Chief Financial Officer of the Aitken Spence Group and the senior Management of CINEC Campus at the premises.

His Excellency was accorded with a guard of honor paraded by CINEC maritime cadets and took the salute of an impressive march past. His Excellency Mr. Jörn Rohde had discussions with the senior management of CINEC regarding the future prospects of collaborations for German qualification standards and partnerships with industry leaders. His Excellency and visiting dignitaries were conducted on a guided tour of the Campus infrastructure facilities and its operations. The Ambassador visited the simulators, workshops, ship in Campus, Lear Jet and other facilities of the campus during this visit.
