Visit of delegates from Shandong Drug and Food Vocational College

On 03rd of September 2024, a meeting took place between the delegates from Shandong Drug and Food Vocational College, China, and representatives from CINEC Campus, Sri Lanka including Capt. Peshala Medagama, Vice President-Maritime, International Cooperation & Foreign Projects, Dr. Ajith Madurapperuma, Consultant, Academic Affairs and Research, Senior Prof. Menik Hettihewa, Dean/Faculty of Health Science and staff representatives from Faculty of Health Science.

The discussion centred on the potential collaboration between Shandong Drug and Food Vocational College, China and the Faculty of Health Sciences, CINEC Campus for pharmaceutical education. This could offer valuable opportunities for both institutions, including student and faculty exchange programs and, the sharing of diverse educational and cultural experiences. Joint research projects could drive innovation in drug discovery, advanced pharmaceutical technology, and traditional medicine by sharing expertise and resources. The partnership would provide valuable internship opportunities, giving students practical experience in drug development and manufacturing.
