CINEC Celebrates Global Supply Chain Professionals Day – May 19th
On this special occasion of Supply Chain Professionals Day, celebrated globally on May 19th, CINEC Campus proudly joins the international community in recognizing the immense contributions of supply chain professionals who keep the world connected, businesses resilient, and economies moving.
CINEC is proud to be at the forefront of Supply Chain Management (SCM) education in Sri Lanka, being the first institute to offer a local degree in SCM. Uniquely, our four-year degree program integrates supply chain concepts across all academic years, unlike most other institutions that introduce this critical discipline only as a final-year specialization. This comprehensive approach ensures our graduates are thoroughly prepared to meet the dynamic demands of the global supply chain and logistics industry.
As a market leader in logistics education, CINEC takes pride in shaping the future of SCM in the region. Our commitment extends beyond the classroom — we ensure industry exposure through internship opportunities, enabling students to gain real-world experience. Already, three batches comprising over 100 graduates have entered the industry, many of whom now hold senior leadership positions in leading organizations.
In celebration of this day and in recognition of our responsibility to society, the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences will organize a series of outreach activities involving our students and alumni. These will include public awareness campaigns and school-based sessions to inspire the next generation of supply chain professionals and highlight the vital role SCM plays in national and global development.
CINEC remains committed to excellence in logistics and supply chain education and celebrates the achievements of our students, alumni, and all professionals contributing to this essential global industry.
Happy Supply Chain Professionals Day!
